STEVEN MICHAEL HARPER
New York appearances include: Freedom Sea
for PTP at Atlantic Stage 2, Welcome to Arroyo's at
the Beckett Theatre (Summer Play Festival), The Roads to
Home at The 78th Street Theatre Lab, Women War Comedy
(North American Premiere) at Theatre for the New City, We
(with Samuel L. Jackson) at Theatre Four with The Negro Ensemble
Company and Lost In the Stars (with Rachel York) at
the York Theatre Company (nominated for Drama Desk best revival).
New York readings include pieces at The Culture Project, Nuyorican
Poet’s Café, The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, Musical Theatre
Works, The John Houseman Theatre, and the Public Theatre.
Regionally: Much Ado About Nothing at the Guthrie Theatre
and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Six Degrees of Separation
(opposite Mary Beth Hurt) with The Peterborough Players, The
Three Sisters (with Christopher Walken) at the Williamstown
Theatre Festival, Shear Madness at The Kennedy Center,

at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival, Dog Logic

(U.S. Premiere) and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari at
the American Repertory Theatre. On television he has been
seen on Rescue Me, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law

Rain and Betty on the Bed. Steve has been seen
in regional and national commercials and promos (Aspen Dental,
Chevy Tahoe, New York Lottery), voice overs (Catholic Charities,
Atripla), and has appeared in over 70 corporate films and
presentations. Steve holds a B.A. from Yale, and is a graduate
of the acting program at the A.R.T. Institute for Advanced
Theatre Training at Harvard. He is a member of Actors Equity,
AFTRA, and SAG. |
