6th Grade: Class assignment. Create a story. How to do that? Story became a play. I became a writer. Play needed actors, a director, producer. How to do that? I became an actor and director/producer.

High School: performed in all the plays. How to sustain the work? Started studying. How to get work in The Big City? Found my first agent. How to audition? Practice. Further study. How to get better?

Higher learning: College. Grad school. Went to Yale and the A.R.T. Institute at Harvard. How to stay sane in between? More writing – creating my own theatrical vision. Studied playwriting at Juilliard. How to stay balanced? Constant brainstorming around the negotiation between my work and my life.

Today: Still working and playing - telling stories, discovering, uncovering. Asking how. Sometimes coaching others to do the same. Making the invisible visible.
