Bio:
STEVE HARPER's producing credits include the 2006 short film
Betty on the Bed (also director/writer and actor). He spent
two years as co-producer on The Fox-45 Clubhouse, a children's
series on WBFF-Fox45 in Baltimore and seen in four states
(also writer and co-host) (Telly Award). Steve also produced
a series of interview segments for Pride Broadcasting on cable
in Maryland, highlighting community activists. At Sesame Workshop
he served as associate producer on pilots for the radio projects
The Real Deal (for tweens - with WHYY) (also in-studio director),
and associate produced the Parent's Choice Award winning Sesame
Sounds for XM Satellite radio (season 2). With Sesame Home
Video he was associate producer on Sesame Sings Karaoke,
(Parents Choice Award) and Zoe's Dance Moves with Paula
Abdul (and the muppet Zoe). Steve also served as associate
producer on the South African Sesame Street - Takalani Sesame
(seasons 2 and 3) - for both television and radio (with the
South African Broadcasting Company). During his time on the
program, Kami, the world's first HIV+ muppet, was introduced
(Intermedia-globe Grand Award). Steve also served on the project
team for "Songs From the Street": The Ultimate Sesame Street
Music Collection (35th Anniversary). Steve studied producing
at The Weekend Film School, The International Film and Video
Workshops at Rockport College and the American Theater Wing's
Commercial Theatre Institute. He has worked in the marketing
departments of In The Life Media and The Maryland Film Commission.
